Subscriptions: what you pay, and how to pay it

The 2026 rate is £27.84 for the calendar year — £2.32 a month — collected monthly from your XPS-administered pension, or annually each April.

The subscription rate for 2026 is £27.84 for the whole calendar year. That works out at £2.32 per month.

How your subscription is collected

Subscriptions are collected monthly from your pension, which is administered by XPS. If that is how you pay, there is nothing for you to do.

If collection from your pension is not possible, subscriptions are collected on an annual basis each April. You will receive a reminder from the Branch Secretary when yours is due.

Why the rate changes

Subscriptions are increased each January in line with the previous September’s CPI figure. The rate published here is always the current one.

If you pay the branch directly

If you have already paid us by BACS, thank you — award yourself two Brownie points.

If you paid by BACS but gave the reference as “NARPO” or something similar, take one of those Brownie points back: it does not tell us who has paid. Please get in touch with the Treasurer, and in future use your name and/or your membership number as the reference.

Associate members whose pension is now in payment

There is a significant group of members who joined as Associates before they retired, or in anticipation of a deferred pension, and who have never told us that their pension is now in payment. Their subscriptions from pension have not been activated — and they have not been granted the privileges of full membership. If you are in that position, please tell us so that we can put it right.

The Treasurer is poised to receive it: treasurer@manchesternarpo.co.uk.
