The branch was represented at this year’s NARPO annual conference, held at the Riviera International Centre in Torquay.

The conference hall set out for NARPO Conference 2026, with the NARPO crest and lecterns on stage and regional seating signs — The hall at the Riviera Centre, set out for conference with each region’s seating marked.

Conference is where the branches meet the National Executive Committee, where motions from around the country are debated, and where the year’s work on pensions, welfare and member benefits is reported back. Delegates are seated by region — Manchester & District sits with Region 5, the North West.

It is also where branches compare notes, and our delegation spent a good deal of conference telling anyone who would listen about the branch’s new website.
