    Formerly of Lancs County & GMP. Arthur served at Swinton and Eccles, retiring as Chief Inspector. Member of the Salford Branch.

  • Peter WANTLING

    Aged: 68

    Formerly of Lancs County & GMP Peter served at Rochdale Division before being posted to the AOR at Clayton Brook. Member of Rochdale Branch.

  • Joseph “Joe” GRIBBEN

    Date of Death: 25th January 2020

    Aged: 73

    Formerly of GMP. Joe joined the Police after service in HM Forces. He was a PC on the old C Division, TAG, and Sergeant on the J Division from where he retired.

  • James Kenneth “Ken” HAMLETT

    Date of Death: 21st January 2020

    Aged: 90

    Formerly of Masnchester & GMP. Retired from Collyhurst on the old B Division.

    Branch Widow Member – Moreen was the widow of Bill Place, formerly of the C Division.

    Formerly of Manchester & GMP. Served in MCP Cadets, A Division, CID, C Division on promotion. DS in No 1 RCS Grey Mare Lane, from where he retired as Sergeant.

  • Harold “Harry” COOKE

    Date of Death: 13th January 2020

    Aged: 89

    Formerly of Lancs County & GMP. Harry served most of his career at Eccles. After his retirement in 1977 he became the janitor at Eccles Police Station.

  • Derek WALSH

    Aged: 87

    Formerly of Manchester, M&S & GMP. Derek served on the D, E and M Divisions, before retiring as Inspector from Moss Side.
